Serengeti: Wildlife Photography Tour 2024

8th - 14th November 2024

Only 8 spaces available!

Join me in the heart of the Serengeti for a wildlife photography experience like no other! The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most renowned national park and home to the greatest concentrations of large mammals on the planet. The migratory herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles roam widely in search of green grass and water. As such, big cats thrive in this area, making it one of the best places to see lions, leopards, and cheetah in the whole of Tanzania.

I will be there as your host, out in the field with you each day, and guiding you with your photography and editing, to help you get the most out of your camera during your trip. To ensure you have an optimal photographic experience, and maximum comfort, there will be a maximum of 4 guests per vehicle. Vehicles are specially-designed jeeps for photographers, with large open windows, allowing for plenty of room for long lenses.

Itinerary

Day 1 (November 8th)

Arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and transported to Four Points Sheraton hotel in Arusha (approximately a 1.5 hour drive), where you will enjoy dinner and spend your first night resting after travel.

Day 2 (November 9th)

In the morning, we will all meet for a welcome breakfast.

After this, we will head to a small airport in Arusha for a domestic flight straight to Serona airstrip in the Serengeti.

Once landed, we will enjoy a leisurely game drive en route to our accommodation at Singing Grass Bush Camp where we will enjoy lunch.

Then we will head out for a game drive until sunset.

After dinner, the evening will be spent getting settled into camp, as well as an introductory photography lesson in order to teach you the basics of using a camera before our first full day of safari.

Day 3-6 (November 10th-13th)

For the next few days, we will be leaving our accommodation at the crack of dawn (5am starts) in order to make the most of the gorgeous morning light for photography.

We will have our guide and vehicle available for our use all day, so depending on our luck with sightings, we may stay out from dawn until dusk, eating our lunch picnic-style on safari, instead of coming back to the lodge in the middle of the day. So be prepared for long days out in the field, making the most of any possible opportunity to capture the amazing wildlife of the Serengeti.

On our last evening, I will host an editing workshop, to show you a suggested workflow to get the best out of your images that you captured during our time together.

Day 7 (November 14th)

After a short morning game drive, we will head back to Serona airstrip.

From here, you will travel back to Kilimanjaro international airport ready to fly home.

Please book a late flight out (after 5pm) to allow plenty of time for travel to the airport.
