Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Your adventure begins in Cuiabá, Brazil, where we’ll pick you up at 1:00 PM and travel along the legendary Transpantaneira Park Road: a journey that offers a first glimpse of the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of the Pantanal. Keep your eyes peeled for caimans, capybaras, and vibrant birdlife along the way.
Upon arrival at the lodge, we’ll settle in and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner before diving into an introductory workshop with Roxy. This relaxed evening session will cover camera fundamentals, including framing, the exposure triangle, and tips for shooting from a boat, as well as creative storytelling techniques to help you make the most of your upcoming days in the field.
Then it will be time to get some rest as tomorrow, our Pantanal adventure truly begins.
Days 2-6
Spend five unforgettable days on boat safaris: each morning begins bright and early, heading out on the water by 6:00 AM, with a packed breakfast in tow, as we set out to explore the park in search of its incredible wildlife. From majestic jaguars and playful giant river otters to capybaras, caimans, and a dazzling variety of bird species, every day brings new photographic opportunities and intimate encounters with nature at its most raw and beautiful.
After a break for lunch, we’ll continue exploring through the afternoon until dusk, capturing the golden light and vibrant energy of the Pantanal as it comes alive.
On our final evening, Roxy will host a hands-on editing workshop covering both stills and video, helping you refine your images and craft compelling visual stories that truly bring your experience to life.
Day 7
On our final day, we’ll enjoy one last early-morning safari. After lunch, we’ll transfer back to Cuiabá, with an expected arrival at the airport around 8:00 pm.

FAQS
'I am a beginner photographer, is it ok for me to join?'
Absolutely, yes! This tour is for people of all levels. On previous tours, I have had a complete mix from people with a couple of years experience, to someone who has only just got a camera for the trip, to someone that hasn't brought a camera at all and has just come to enjoy. All are welcome. The tour is designed for photographers in mind, meaning we will have extended hours in the field, with a focus on shooting at golden hour each day, for optimal photographic opportunities. I will also be giving camera advice and guidance throughout, but this is total optional if you would like to learn from me in this area or not during your time on the tour. It is for you to enjoy in the way you would like to.
'Do I require any vaccinations or anti-malarials to join?'
For any health advice, please consult with your medical professsional prior to travel. However, the Pantanal is considered to be totally safe from Dengue, Zika, yellow fever, and malaria, so I don't take any vaccinations or medication for travel here personally.
