For this film with Jack Wolfskin, I set out to track one of Europe’s most elusive and misunderstood predators, the golden jackal. From long days filming wild jackals in the remote wetlands of Romania’s Danube Delta to joining a team of scientists in Austria using a trained scat dog to learn more about their expanding range, the journey revealed just how adaptable these animals are. The film uncovers the science behind the range expansion of golden jackals through Europe and the innovative research helping us understand their role in a rapidly changing landscape.
